Our Story

INFINITI HR was formed in 2008 by us: Scott Smrkovski and Mark Schwaiger. Scott was a long time real estate professional, and Mark worked for ADP. We met in the 1990s while working in sales for XcelHR, an outsourcing and payroll firm located in Rockville, Maryland. Both possessing an entrepreneurial spirit and desire to achieve the American dream, we started INFINITI HR because we wanted to build a business around superior talent that had a vision of awesome, ‘WOW’ service. Our vision was to create the first ever customizable PEO that offered a variety of services in addition to traditional human resources offerings.
We want everyone we interact with — either clients or employees — to experience something magical. To have fun, be adventurous, passionate about life, and just grow.
Fast forward 11 years, and INFINITI HR is a disruptor in the industry. Walking the halls of our office you’ll feel the boundless energy of our employees and the desire to be there, doing good in the world, while supporting one another. Our employees are encouraged to innovate in a safe space — where risk tasking is not looked at as failure. Many come up with new ideas that enhance our PEO service offerings and are deployed to customers. Others develop internal training sessions for employees and some even are designing a proprietary INFINITI HR app (coming in 2020!). Most importantly, INFINITI HR creates great leaders.
