INFINITI HR is currently searching for a Payroll Tax Specialist to join our successful team and work closely with our clients.
Duties and Responsibilities of a Payroll Tax Specialist:
The Payroll Tax Specialist is responsible for providing payroll tax compliance support to the tax department, with the majority of duties focusing on tax-related projects, reconciliation, and dispute resolution. This position is perfect for someone with a high level of dedication to quality and attention to detail, and the motivation to clearly communicate with different entities.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Minimum of two years of payroll tax experience, reporting, filing, and dispute resolution, preferably in a multi-customer service-oriented environment.
- Accounting, bookkeeping, cash management, auditing, organizational, and data management skills.
- Strong computer skills, with a good working knowledge of the primary Microsoft Office programs, HRIS software, as well as email and internet skills. Strong at Excel a must.
- Experience with Mastertax, Prism, or HRP Payroll is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state payroll tax laws and regulations
- Detailed oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Good decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze information, evaluate results, and implement the best solution to solve problems or challenges.
- Ability to professionally draft and remit written correspondence to federal, state and local tax agencies.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all levels.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) that positively benefits interactions at all levels.
- Ability to successfully pass a background check and other pre-employment screening
